Brian Sutton


Brian Sutton serves as the Executive Director of Leadership Development and Discipleship for the Church of God of Prophecy International Offices in Cleveland, Tennessee. After having ministered as a senior pastor for 25 years, including leading the historic Peerless Road Church, Bishop Sutton accepted his current role to facilitate the spiritual and professional development of the ministry of the Church of God of Prophecy and develop Christian discipleship processes for the movement. Additionally, he serves as the Publisher for the White Wing Messenger, the official publication of the Church of God of Prophecy, and continues to serve as a member of the Administrative Committee and Corporate Board of Directors for the International Church of God of Prophecy, a position he has held since 2010.

Brian has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, a Master of Arts degree in Church Ministries from Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee, and a Master of Arts Degree in Religion from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, Massachusetts. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry degree in Global Pentecostalism from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Bishop Sutton is the author of Discovering Holiness: A Quest for God published in 2014, Prevailing Prayer: Developing a Lifestyle of Conversation with God, and The Minister’s Pocket Manual, both published in 2016.

He and his wife Renee (a breast cancer survivor) have been married since 1990. Brian and Renee are blessed with two children and a son-in-law. Their daughter, Tayler, is a senior at Lee University studying English education. Their son, Will, is a sophomore at Lee University studying Business Administration and Management. Their son-in-law, Chris Moses, who is a network engineer, joined the family in December 2016.
